Our three-garage complex is located in a secure gated community and features modern workspaces, a unique showroom, and an entertainment space. We treat every vehicle as if it were our own, using only the finest
products and techniques to transform high-end vehicles into works of art.
Kurt Smith, Owner
A passion for cars sparked in Kurt Smith when he was just a kid growing up in Arlington, Texas. Kurt attended Texas Tech University, followed by the University of North Texas, where he earned his degree in organizational development with a certificate in mediation. Later, Kurt moved to Dallas and began a successful corporate career. However, his dream of working in the auto industry was always present in the back of his mind. After nearly two decades in corporate America, Kurt took a leap of faith and decided to open an auto detailing business.
He knew he wanted a name for his business that would leave an impression. Kurt spent every day writing words and numbers down on paper, trying to find a combination that would stick. One day, he passed by a white Porsche GT3 and thought to himself, “I know that Porsche can do the quarter-mile in ten flat,” a drag racing term that refers to a car’s ability to cover a quarter-mile race track in 10 seconds or less. The words “ten flat” spoke to him. Kurt spent hours with a sketch pad, honing in on his artistic abilities to design a logo that fit his new business name.
In 2015, using the skills and experience gained from his long career in corporate America, Kurt turned his vision of owning and operating an elite auto detailing business into reality.
Ethan Miller
Lead Technician
Ethan Miller’s interest in cars stems from the hands-on mechanical experience he received growing up with his father, a master certified mechanic. While Ethan always thought he would become a mechanic himself, he discovered a true passion for automotive detailing after high school. So when the opportunity arose for Ethan to join the Ten Flat team as an apprentice, he dove in head-first, soaking up as much information as he could while shadowing other team members.
Ten Flat’s owner, Kurt, worked with Ethan day and night to develop his skills and hone his craft as a professional auto detailer. Eventually, Ethan’s abilities, coupled with his attention to detail, enabled him to advance through the ranks to become the company’s Lead Technician. He takes pride in being part of a team that constantly strives to be the very best in its industry and provide an elite level of service to its clients.
Carson WIlliams
Technician
From the time he was a child, Carson Williams had a great passion and appreciation for cars. Before joining Ten Flat, Carson worked at a drive-through car wash and always wanted more for himself professionally. He was introduced to the Ten Flat team by his good friend, Ethan Miller, the company’s lead technician. As a Ten Flat technician, Carson is in the process of completing the IDA (International Detailing Association) Certification Program to expand his professional auto detailing knowledge and skill set.
